The Devil's Tomb Cuba Gooding, Jr. is a fine actor. He won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in "Jerry MaGuire," released in 1997, and he deserved it. Ray Winstone is a fine actor. He has enhanced many superb films. Ron Perlman is a fabulous character actor. Someone you take very seriously in any role. I just have one overarching question: Can't any of these fine actors read? Keith Kjornes' script is the culprit in the demise of this picture. Too many "cheesy" lines, too little dramatic tension and too unbelievable to work as a story. I wonder why these fine actors would want to do this movie if they read the script. Either they did not read the script or they needed the money terribly bad. Nobody, who is not homeless, should ever need money that bad. Unbelievably, the only thing holding the film together was the decent acting of these players. There was one good thing to Director Jason Connery's movie - it was only 90 minutes long. Rated R. Released on DVD May 26, 2009.
