AboutSome have asked why I post on BCN. I am a retired industrial sales engineer trying to keep the mind active. We had our first grandchild this summer (2015) and I got to thinking that I may not be around when he is old enough to understand who we are. I started a family history narrative (Grandpa Diaries), which I thought would provide a reference should he and future grand kids want to know some family history and possible get to know me through my writings and opinions. If you are going to do that, you must include the good, bad and ugly and even the silly. Most of my post here are an extract of that narrative.
I have found that creating post which often contains some personal observations or information allows me to be more thoughtful and circumspect in forming my own opinions. The post are more like messages in a bottle, I set them afloat and if they are found so be it, if not so be it. Neither event will change the world.
The writing of letters and notes seems to have been lost in the electronic age and I decided to create a digital as well as written version of my thoughts and stories.
I thank Stan and the readers for allowing me to litter his online publication with some stories, fluff and maybe an opinion or two.
